The primary objective of this role is to produce premium-quality commercial imagery through advanced retouching, compositing, color correction, and image enhancement techniques. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong technical expertise, and the ability to independently manage projects while collaborating directly with clients and cross-functional teams.

High-End Image Retouching

• Execute premium-quality retouching for product, lifestyle, beauty, fashion, and commercial imagery.
• Perform advanced image editing including color correction, color grading, masking, clipping paths, compositing, background cleanup, image manipulation, shadow creation, and reflection enhancement.
• Retouch packshots and product photography while preserving textures, materials, labels, and overall brand accuracy.
• Perform swatch matching and maintain color consistency across campaigns, product families, and image libraries.
• Produce photorealistic final assets that meet client expectations and premium brand standards.

Client Communication & Project Ownership

• Independently manage assigned projects from brief review through final delivery.
• Communicate directly with clients to clarify requirements, provide project updates, manage revisions, and resolve technical questions.
• Review creative briefs, reference materials, and production guidelines before beginning work.
• Make technical decisions regarding retouching methods, workflow, output quality, and image standards.
• Manage corrections and feedback efficiently while ensuring timely delivery.

Quality Control & Production Excellence

• Perform thorough self-quality checks before delivering final files.
• Ensure technical accuracy, color consistency, masking precision, file organization, and production readiness.
• Follow client-specific brand guidelines, naming conventions, technical specifications, and delivery workflows.
• Maintain organized layered files, source assets, and production documentation.
• Support high-volume production while maintaining exceptional quality standards.

Team Integration & Process Optimization

• Partner cross-functionally with designers, photographers, project leads, and quality assurance specialists to ensure seamless delivery.
• Provide guidance to less experienced team members and engage in collaborative peer-review sessions.
• Proactively suggest enhancements to workflows, address systematic quality concerns, and streamline production throughput.
• Develop and refine retouching standards, operating procedures, and technical documentation tailored to specific accounts.
• Maintain advanced knowledge of modern editing techniques, including AI-driven solutions and evolving industry benchmarks.

Experience & Education

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in high-end image retouching, creative production, or post-production.
• Previous experience working in creative agencies, production studios, eCommerce, retail, luxury, beauty, or global brand environments.
• Proven experience producing commercial imagery for print and digital media.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating advanced retouching, compositing, product photography, beauty retouching, color matching, and image enhancement.

Technical Skills

• Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
• Advanced experience with:
  • High-end retouching
  • Color correction and color grading
  • Complex masking and selections
  • Compositing
  • Product and lifestyle retouching
  • Packshot enhancement
  • Swatch matching
  • File preparation for print and digital production
• Strong understanding of image production pipelines, color profiles, resolution, export settings, and quality control processes.
• Experience using project management platforms such as Wrike, Adobe Workfront, Ziflow, or similar is a plus.
• Familiarity with Capture One, Lightroom, Illustrator, or InDesign is considered an advantage.
